Andhakaranazhi Beach 

At Andhakaranazhi the backwaters run out to meet the Arabian Sea, and the meeting point — the azhi, or estuary — gives the beach its name. Long stretches of sand, coconut palms and a rocky breakwater frame the water on both sides.

It is a working coast as much as a beach: country boats, fishing nets and the day's catch are part of the view. The Andhakaranazhi lighthouse stands close by and is the area's best-known landmark.

One of the main coastal attractions of the Pattanakkad block, and the meeting place of lagoon and sea.
